Day Three - Friday 8th October 2010



Diary -

0845 - Woke up

0850 - Cup of Coffee (1) (2 Sugars, Semi-Skimmed Milk) (Cig 1)

0855 - Shower

0915 - Cig 2

0920 - Out to Dundee. Total of 6 Cigs smoked so numbers 3-8 while there. Also large Latte from Costa's (2)

1500 - Arrive back and late Lunch -
  • 1 Greggs Mexican Chicken Oval Bite
  • 1 Greggs Sausage Roll
  • 1 Greggs Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt
  • Small Bottle of Water (500ml)
  • Cup of Coffee (3) (2 Sugars, Semi-Skimmed Milk)
1620 - 8 Press Ups, 8 Sit Ups

1645 - Cig 9

1740 - Cup of Coffee (4) (2 Sugars, Semi-Skimmed Milk)

1750 - Small Bag of Sweet Chilli Snack A Jacks

1820 - Cig 10

1925 - Cig 11

2105 - Cig 12

2125 - Dinner - Chinese Takeaway
  • Crabmeat and Sweetcorn Soup
  • Chicken with Green Peppers in Black bean sauce (1/2 container)
  • Boiled Rice (1/2 container)
  • 1 Glass Coke Zero

Feeling -

Gutted, what a fucking disaster. First I miss my alarm so the joggings off, then I make a really bad choice for lunch in getting Greggs. Who'd have known that it was possibly the very worst thing I could have gone for, checked it out when I got home and it stacks up like this -
  • 1 Greggs Mexican Chicken Oval Bite = 420Kcal and 15.5g of fat
  • 1 Greggs Sausage Roll = 320Kcal and 20g of fat
  • 1 Greggs Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt = 460Kcal and 28g of fat
That's a total of 1200Kcal and 63g of fat in those three things, I was amazed. Now like I said I'm not really on a diet but I am watching what I eat to make sure its healthy and also trying to knock about 500Kcal off what I eat every day (reason behind this is that as a adult male I need about 2000Kcal a day, 1Ib of fat provides about 3500Kcal so if I can knock off 500Kcal of food a day then I should lose around 1Ib a week through eating alone) so this alone has taken up most of my allowance and is also stuffed full of fat!
By the time it came to dinner I think I just couldn't be arsed trying to keep it to 300Kcal or less so just had the healthiest option I could find among all the deep fried this and battered that.
I am probably not going to see any weight loss after today's fuck ups but since I'm counting today as my jogging rest day it means I will now have to get up early and jog on Sunday instead of having a lay in so at least I will end up a little fitter by the end of week 1 :)

Also smoked less cigarettes today and had 1 less coffee so that's a bonus :)
